Paypal

PaypalUsing Actinic Ecommerce it is absolutely straightforward to integrate Paypal payments into your ecommerce web site - we normally recommend another third party as well (we use Protx for our clients).

We have seen a definite increase in people using Paypal as a preferred medium of payment across our customer web sites - though it is quite expensive.

The first break point for their fees is £1500 and we noticed that one of our web sites was comfortably exceeding this each month. As they are quite expensive compared with normal third party payment providers we thought that our rate should have gone down.

We have subsequently found out that you need to apply for a lower rate! So top tip, calculate how much you are receiving each month and if you are over any of the break points apply straight away as it isn't automatic - which we were quite surprised at.

Carington Estates

Carington Estates
We are currently working on around six brand new web sites at the moment. We thought four of them would be launched this week but so far only one has made the light of day.

An enjoyable project working for Carington Estates in Bledlow. We were asked earlier in Jan 2009 to update their existing web site. They provided a few ideas of how they would like the web site to look and be navigated and this is the final result.

The site is built in CSS and also uses blogger.com to update the latest news page / noticeboard page.

Chalfont Web Design also works for two other 'estates' - Claydon Estate and Hundridge.
