Its been extremely busy since we last posted in January. The most recent customer win is for Warner Meats in Chalfont St Giles who we’ve posted a quick holding page for and are currently busy working on an Actinic Ecommerce web site ready for the bar-b-q season.
As usual been very busy working with existing customers and also a couple of new ones. Trading Depot where we do some consulting have launched a new Actinic web site – not built by Chalfont Web Design – Insulation Depot – which is planned to be the first of a few micro web sites dedicated to niche areas of their business.
Amongst the other web sites we’ve been working on includes a new page on the Battle of Bannockburn and also migrating some of the other pages to a new CSS format. The site averages around or over 10,000 visitors per day.
The Livcom Awards web site has also had its annual re-launch with the promotion of their 2012 awards which will be held in the UAE.

Another new web site launched just before Christmas was for the celebrated German Sculptor and artist Heinz Weld. The site is a static site but uses a commercially available lightbox to expand the images according to the size of the page.
Chalfont Web Design launched a dedicated CSE Cables Actinic Ecommerce web site last week. The cables division has become so successful within the CSE Industrial Electrical Distributors group it has become its own identity and hence required its own Actinic Ecommerce web site.
We re-designed the site using CSS and various stock photography to achieve the customer’s objectives.
IDA Consulting specialises in providing a full survey research service – as they put it “Asking the right people, the right questions to get the right answers”

One of the first to see the light of day is a refreshed J & J Pneumatics web site which is now built using Actinic V10.
J & J Pneumatics are a very professional pneumatic and air compressor service and product company based in High Wycombe. They recently also launched their a Parker Store at their warehouse trade counter. The E-commerce web site features many of the pneumatic products from the Parker range.
This is just the beginning though as V10 allows more flexibility and will be further developed over the coming months to Christmas.
I am currently working on-site at Trading Depot on a regular basis, helping out with business consultancy and web site promotion. On my recommendation, they now have a full time web developer working for them and implementing changes and updates.
It was great going back in after a short holiday and taking stock of how much progress the company has made since it was launched on-line in March 2008.
The company is still growing strongly and progressing very well indeed – a great story in today’s tough economic climate.
Chalfont Web Design launched a new web site last week for a customer in Chalfont St Peter – Fruitful Blooms.
The client required a web site to launch and promote their fruit bouquet and chocolate bouquet business.
Chalfont Web Design took the majority of the photos and cleaned them up in Photoshop and loaded to the web site with an ability to load to a larger size for close up viewing.
Keep checking back for more blog posts, we are launching a number of new web sites soon – all varied subject matter but very interesting.
The first web site ever constructed by Chalfont Web Design was for a local hockey club – Chalfont St Peter Hockey Club in around 1996. We have just updated the main parent web site for Chalfont Park Sports Association. We will now be updating the hockey web site though this will be through a separate sports CMS.
The CPSA web site was designed in CSS with updated images and a password protected minutes section.
